I bought several smaller AS (5/6's) reels a few years ago from an Orvis outlet store in Lake George, NY. They had bunches of them at the time, and I imagine they might still have some - especially in larger, less popular sizes. I got a great price, so I bought two, along with three or four extra spools, all at less than half their normal price. Nice, inexpensive reel that rivals many of the high-priced ones. A bit heavy, but great drag and a nice, mid-size arbor that is wider than most. I wouldn't trade them for anything...they'll go to my son when he's old enough to handle a fly rod.
Contact Orvis for the phone numbers of their outlet stores. They may be willing to ship them to you in BC. Good luck!
