Swift River, MA Hatch?

Had some slow afternoons the past weekend fishing the Swift River up in Ware, Massachusetts. The hatch was slight, with mainly 24+ sized BWO (I think) with a small ammount of March Browns thrown in. Anybody see anything differntly and/or what they were taking beacuse I couldn't coax much other than a few brookies? Fish in the Swift sure are picky!

I've had the same problem. Above or below the Rt.9 bridge? Better lately?

I am headed out to Milford for some training at my company but was thinking of heading out to the Swift on Monday morning. How has the fishing been?
Any info will help.

Thanks,

Leif Erickson

best bet for this time of year is blk beetles, hoppers and ants
( cinn., blk)

watch for what's on the banks and trees dropping into the water

if they look but refuse the hopper, then tie a dropper about 8" to the hopper hook and use a 16/18 beaded olive soft hackle

good luck
