We are going to Kauai in November and have heard that the stream bass fishing on the upper part of the Wailua is great but I can't seem to get any information as to where exactly this is. I understand that the Wailua Reservoir is dry but I'm getting information that either it's impossible to get to the streams because it's all private land or the streams are all dried up. Even the park service doesn't seem to know. Are there any locals out there who know if we will be able to fish for bass somewhere on the island without having to get a guide?
